I have had the first one for about 3-4 months and the black version for 1-2 months.
I'm going to divide this review in a couple of sections so that ít's easier to follow:)
First off is :
Packaging :This one is pretty obvious since the original one comes in a yellow tube with violet lining and the black one has obviously ...black lining(what a shocker:))
Consistency:Both of them are a quite on the fluidy side but I must say that the black one is a little bit harder to work with because it's a touch more fluidy.I have to mention the fact that the original one has a floral smell (which I love ) and I was dissapointed to discover that the black one just reekes like a normal mascara :(
Pigmentation:When you swatch it on the hand you can't tell the difference between them.But when you apply it ,you can definetly see it.The original version dries more to a matte finish while the black one has a little bit of shine to it ,hence the lashes become glossier (which I absolutely adore cause it makes them stand out more )
Wand:The massive wand is present in both of them so there's basically no difference there.
Effect :They both have the same lenghtening and thickening effect ,the only difference being the finish they have.
Lasting power:I must say this mascara lasts on forever without flaking or any of the nasty stuff happening.One day I wore the original one on one eye and the black on the other eye and by the end of the day it was exactly the same so no difference here.
In a nutshell, I would reccomend both the original one and the black one.It's just a matter of what makes you tick since they do have some differnces but there's no huge gap between them.Whether you like the matte finish and the floral touch and go for the original one or you prefer the glossy eyelashes,there's no doubt that it 's a great mascara.

Actually this is my favourite mascara, I've tried also the waterproof version but it isn't as good as the original one ;)
